Just driving around and watching television I've noticed the neverending push for the flu and H1N1 vaccines. This makes me question who is behind the persistant ploy to have everyone receive the syringe.
A few obvious facts that should be evident to all health care professionals prove that this continued practice is unneeded thus unethical.
1. Flu season is over. It ended two months ago and sooner in some locations. Why are we still vaccinating outside the window which makes it useful? Probably because all that sell it have stockpiles and want to get rid of them.
2. All strains of flu have most definitely mutated making the almost year old vaccines utterly ineffective. Vaccines are produced for specific strains of flu and most years its a guess as to what kind they will be. The same strain in one season can mutate an unlimited number of times making it completely different at the end of the season.
3. The H1N1 vaccine bypassed the standard testing that the FDA required for all drugs and vaccines for speedy release. An untested product is still being injected into citizens.
4. All flu cases have become nonexistent in this country at this time. And what happened to the final tally of suspected H1N1? The CDC and WHO declared that states no longer had to test for the specific strains of flu and that all cases resembling the flu should be considered H1N1. There sure hasn't been any news coverage on the final numbers. Probably because the numbers can't be definitively calculated.
There still is a religious following to the continued use of these vaccines. You would have to have some sort of faith base in order to take an untested product for something that most likely doesn't exist, outside the window that makes it effective.
