Eating for Good Digestion

When we think about digesting our food well most of us think about what we eat rather than how we eat it. However, the conditions under which you eat can be just as important as what you eat. Eating in stressful situations as you run from one thing to another can cause digestive problems. Some tips for how to eat for good digestions include:

  • Eat sitting down

  • Eat in a quiet atmosphere (turn off the TV)

  • Don’t rush your meal

  • Eat at approximately the same time every day

  • Stop eating before you are full

  • Sit quietly for a few minutes after you finish your meal

  • Eat with people you love

These are just a few ways you can improve your digestion and enjoy your mealtimes.
