One of the most overlooked forms of exercise is doing yard work. Its that time of year that our office starts to get busier with weekend warriors that have injured themselves working outside. Gardening is actually quite dangerous and physically taxing on the body.
It is important to warm up just as you would before a jog or workout. A warm up should consist of a minute or two of calisthenics and 5 minutes of stretching. This will decrease the chance of injury and soreness. Also, as it gets warmer outside remember to consume at least half your body weight in ounces of water.
